The counting solution helps with the occupancy control, through people/vehicles/elements counting, inside an area controlled by cameras. It consists of an occupancy control software and people, objects or other type of elements’ counting, based on Artificial Intelligence, using IP cameras, and it includes a management area where you can set up alerts according to the level of occupancy.

How does the solution of occupancy control X-COUNT work?

X-Count undertakes people, vehicles or other elements counting through the analysis of images that it receives from the IP cameras. These cameras can be installed from scratch or can be integrated to existing cameras.

Our occupancy control systems using counting carries out an analysis of the frames made by  the cameras, these are taken on a recurrent basis and through the AI technology  it is able to identify how many items are there in the controlled area, that could be both indoors and outdoors.

What technology does X-COUNT use to count people or objects?

The software uses the nevolution technology alongside with AI technologies based on neural networks, their special feature is the ability to learn the relationships between objects that are much more complex than the conventional machine learning techniques. Moreover, they provide a much higher level of robustness against changes in luminosity, changes in the object’s scale and changes in the image’s position.

The neural networks are based on a learning process, with thousands or millions of images, which allows it to generate very good results in different scenarios. Moreover, they are able to find by themselves the characteristics that best discriminates between objects, unlike the conventional machine learning.
